Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trials

The Virginia G.Piper Cancer Center at HonorHealth is on one of the original Stand Up To Cancer Dream Teams sites. As the only center in the Southwest participating as a clinical collaborator in the SU2C Pancreatic Cancer Dream Team grant, it conducts clinical trials of new cancer treatments designed to cut off the fuel supply of nutrients feeding pancreatic cancer cells.

Led by Dr. Daniel Von Hoff, Director of TGen’s Clinical Translational Research Division, The Virginia G. Piper Clinical Trials is a partnership between TGen and HonorHealth that treats cancer patients with promising new drugs. Its clinical studies have shown encouraging results in improving quality of life and extending life expectancy for patients with advanced stage pancreatic cancer.

Eligible cancer patients who consent to participate in a cancer clinical trial study will receive treatment coordinated by HonorHealth Research Institute, located in the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center. The treatment team may include research physicians, research nurses, data managers and oncologists.
