You have an opportunity to make a difference while enjoying the vacation of a lifetime.

If you’ve ever dreamed of a customized tour of some of the best vineyards in America in a region of unparalleled beauty, and fantasized about traveling to them with up to three of your closest companions via private jet, you now have a chance to indulge your dream and support a successful charitable foundation making great strides against a devastating disease at the same time.

Among the offerings at the live auction that will be part of the 15th Annual Seena Magowitz Golf Classic, a fundraising event held in Boston August 26, 27 and 28, 2017, is a unique two-day tour of iconic Napa Valley wineries in northern California. Ellman Family Vineyards are sponsoring and hosting the trip.

All proceeds from the winning bid will go to the Seena Magowitz Foundation to fund research into treating pancreatic cancer.

An Unmatched Experience

The winning bidder and up to three companions will be flown by private jet to Napa Valley. The jet is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but it may be possible to meet the jet at another airport if the airport is along the flight path between Fort Lauderdale and Napa Valley. If not, the flight will depart from and return to Fort Lauderdale.

“This will be an unforgettable trip,” said Roger Magowitz, founder of the Seena Magowitz Foundation. “Ellman Family Vineyards are generously underwriting the cost of the trip.”

The Package Includes:

  • A two-night stay for up to four people at the Meadowood Napa Valley luxury resort in St. Helena, California;
  • A private tour of the exclusive Ellman Family Vineyards property in Napa hosted by proprietor Neil Ellman and a visit to the new Ellman Family Vineyards Tasting Gallery for a private wine tasting;
  • Private visits to renowned winemaker Andy Erickson’s Favia Vineyards in the Coombsville area of Napa and the spectacular estate of David Arthur Vineyards on Pritchard Hill. The winners will spend the morning touring these historic vineyards and enjoy a tasting from a selection of their top-rated wines;
  • Lunch on the first day at the five-star resort Auberge du Soleil in nearby Rutherford and dinner at Press, an elegant steak house in St. Helena;
  • Lunch on the second day at the Ellman Family Vineyards Tasting Gallery in downtown Napa and dinner at Bottega, a richly appointed restaurant known for its micro-regional Italian cuisine, in Yountville;
  • Breakfast on both days;
  • All transportation in Napa and the surrounding area; and
  • Afternoon leisure time for a visit to the spa, shopping or simply relaxing at the hotel.

A Phenomenal Way to Support Pancreatic Cancer Research

The only travel restrictions are that the trip must be completed by the end of 2018 and it must be taken between a Sunday and a Wednesday. It’s hoped the opening bid for this trip of a lifetime will be at least $60,000. That’s what it would cost just for cross-country round-trip transportation aboard a private jet.

“The Ellman Family has been sponsors of the Seena Magowitz Pancreatic Cancer Foundation from the very beginning,” said Neil Ellman. “We truly feel that this is a very worthwhile cause and are honored to support Roger and the Magowitz family.”
