Furniture/Today’s Bedding Conference is once again partnering with the 2015 Seena Magowitz Golf Classic.

The two events will share the same venue — the Omni Orlando Resort in Championsgate, Florida. — and have coordinating schedules for next year’s events in May. The Furniture/Today Bedding Conference will be held at the Omni from Tuesday, May 12, through Thursday, May 14. The Bedding Conference will end shortly before noon on Thursday, when events for the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic will begin. The Magowitz event, which supports pancreatic cancer research, will end with a noon luncheon on Friday, May 15, 2015 giving attendees time to get home for the weekend.

“We are pleased to continue our partnership with the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic,” said David Perry, Furniture/Today’s bedding editor and the coordinator of the Bedding Conference. “By coordinating our schedule with the Golf Classic, we are making it easier for industry members to attend two of the premier events in the bedding arena: Our Bedding Conference and the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic. These are both must-attend events for bedding retailers, producers and suppliers.”

Once again Gary Fazio, CEO of Serta Simmons Bedding, is serving as honorary chairman of the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic. “The Seena Magowitz Golf Classic brings together awareness and industry support for a critical cause, and I am honored to continue supporting the event,” said Fazio.

“By combining the excellent insights presented at the Bedding Conference with the fun and fellowship of the Golf Classic, our industry is demonstrating real leadership in the fight against pancreatic cancer. While we may compete for customers, this is the time when we come together and work towards a common goal, and that is to advance the vital research efforts underway to prevent, treat and find a cure for this disease.”

Roger Magowitz, chairman of the Seena Magowitz Foundation, said he’s looking to boost industry support for pancreatic cancer research at the 2015 SMF Golf Classic.

“Earlier this year, in our inaugural pairing of the Bedding Conference and the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic, we saw a significant increase in giving at our event, despite the fact that we only had a few months to plan our activities,” Magowitz said. “Next year, with a full year to plan and promote our partnership with the Furniture/Today Bedding Conference, we anticipate an even stronger response from the bedding industry.”

Registration for the Bedding Conference and the Seena Magowitz Golf Classic will be open early 2015.
